Due to the depth of the treatment required to remove tattoo inks, the treatment is generally considered to be moderately uncomfortable, although this will vary from person to person due to the different tolerances to pain. Topical anaesthetic cream may be applied to sensitive areas and may be purchased over the counter from most pharmacies prior to the treatment.
